505 Swimming Scholarship Program

The 505 Swimming Scholarship Program helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn essential water safety and swimming skills, regardless of financial circumstances. Through our network of partners, we provide scholarships for reduced-cost or no-cost swim lessons to New Mexico families so more children can gain confidence, safety, and lifelong skills in the water.

About the Scholarship Program

Drowning is one of the leading causes of death and injury for children, yet many families face financial barriers that prevent them from enrolling in swim lessons. The 505 Swimming Scholarship Program was created to help remove that barrier and expand access to life-saving swim education.

Through this program, qualifying families may receive reduced-cost or fully funded swim lessons for their children at participating 505 Swimming locations.

Our lessons focus on:

• Water safety fundamentals
• Building comfort and confidence in the water
• Developing strong foundational swimming skills

Since 2022, thousands of New Mexico families have trusted 505 Swimming for safe, structured, and effective swim instruction.

What the Scholarship Covers

Depending on funding availability and the level of demonstrated need, scholarships include either:

• Fully funded swim lessons
• 50% tuition swim lessons

Regardless of scholarship amount you will receive:
• Enrollment in our group swim lessons based on our proven curriculum
• Instruction from certified 505 Swimming instructors

• All lessons emphasize water safety, skill development, and building confidence in the water.
