About the Role
We are looking for two passionate swim lesson instructor to join our team to expand our availability in the busy spring and summer season! As a swim lesson instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality small group swim lessons to children aged 4 and will work on a team that is passionate about swimming and helping children! This is a part-time position and will work year-round depending around your schedule! We offer competitive pay and a friendly work environment with flexible hours, although Saturday availability is likely needed. If you are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume!
Responsibilities
1. Conduct small group swim lessons in a safe and fun manner
2. Evaluate and track the progress of each student
3. Communicate effectively with students and their parents to provide feedback and answer any questions they may have
4. Demonstrate and explain proper swimming techniques to students
5. Provide feedback and encouragement to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals
6. Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
CPR certification or ability to obtain one
Water safety/swim instruction certification or ability to obtain one
Ability to work well with children and adults
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Access to reliable transportation to and from the pool
An excitement for teaching and working with kids
Experience working with children
Must pass a background check before employment
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of swim instruction or coaching experience
Professional, volunteer, or academic experiences that demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
Familiarity with swimming techniques
Flexibility in your schedule and availability to work weekends
